Our shop has been on this site since the 1800′s.
It was first the home of The St Andews Citizen newspaper in the late 1890s. The Innes family bought the building and Mr W.G. Innes, a St Andrews graduate, loveingly renovated it, with local architect Mr Frank Pride, in 1927. An online copy of the pamphlet that was produced to celebrate this is available to view under Architectural Features on the home page.
The Innes family have been selling Stationery, Books and Gifts here ever since.
Mr Leng and Mr Neil Innes followed Mr W.G. Innes and after them Pat and her daughter Jude, now run it together, with the help of their wonderful team:- Carol, our deputy, Emily (who is in charge of our office and deputises from time to time too!), and sometimes Veronica in the book department, Helen and James in Stationery, Ann in Gifts and Chris who can be found in all three departments.
Our windows hold some of the best features of our building and allow us to show case what’s on offer inside. These are constantly being changed by Carol and James but the ideas behind them are generated by us all.
We offer a high quality of good, friendly service and are always happy to listen to our customers and genuinely want your feed back. Please use the form on this site to tell us what you would like us to stock.
Oh and happy shopping!
Best wishes
Jude
